We Speak Husky:
Marketing & Communications for University of Washington

Helping UW leaders amplify their impact—from brand storytelling to digital growth

Fresh school year, fresh ideas, fresh marketing approach

For more than 50,000 students across the University of Washington’s campuses, a new semester means new opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. As a Marketing & Communications professional, your role is invaluable in keeping students informed, engaged, and inspired as they navigate the upcoming year.

You make sure they have everything they need, in a digestible and easy-to-locate format: There are campus event calendars to build, websites to update and refresh, and Husky Cards to create and distribute.

Personally, we’re looking forward to our junior year as an approved UMAC vendor for strategic marketing and communications support. To celebrate a year of fresh connections and collaboration, we think you deserve a gift! Click below to claim your free Back to School care package. Go Dawgs!

  • Robust market research, real campus voices

Hundreds of UW student interviews. Dozens of in-depth staff discussions. One clear goal: build a digital experience that works for everyone.

When UW’s Housing & Food Services (HFS) set out to modernize their website, they knew it had to be more than just a pretty interface. They needed a research-informed, inclusive platform that reflected the real needs of a diverse, dynamic university community.

  • Our approach? A university-wide listening tour that included:

    - Running a campus-wide campaign and recruited 1,200 students who participated in surveys and intercept interviews

    - Meeting with 50+ UW staff across departments

    - Leading 6 in-depth focus groups

    - Holding goal-setting workshops with executive leadership

This human-centered research became the bedrock of a new content strategy and information architecture that’s intuitive, accessible, and deeply connected to what UW users visitors actually need.

Real results. Real impact.
