Ascent Solutions is a Microsoft partner in the cybersecurity space and are a Managed Security Services Provider, or MSSP. Ascent offers companies a valuable alternative to in-house security teams by taking full ownership over their defenses and managing them with military-grade knowledge. By deploying the power of Microsoft Sentinel and Defender and then continuing to manage them not only relieves companies of the burden of managing their defenses but also gives them peace of mind knowing that they are being protected by highly knowledgeable, military-grade security experts. Aside from promoting their services, Ascent had several other exciting things to market…
Extra Mile is well-versed in the cybersecurity space and along with the insights from the collaborative Ascent Solutions subject matter experts, we crafted a messaging framework that would define Ascent’s audience, lead messaging and more to guide all the other assets we would produce. These assets included an eBook, infographic, sales battlecard, an email campaign and social media posts to exhibit thought leadership and promote a some big news!
Messaging Framework
Over the years Extra Mile Marketing has watched the cybersecurity industry grow into a $150B industry. Having helped numerous cybersecurity companies with their marketing needs along the way, we knew the questions to ask to cut through the noise and hone in on the most potent pain-points and desired benefits that Ascent’s solution would address. The messaging framework is the guiding light from which future marketing materials will emanate.
Video, Infographic and eBook
Using our messaging framework for guidance, we created a series of eye-catching content pieces to educate Ascent’s audiences on the benefits of their solution. Our video focused on Ascent’s approach to Zero Trust and gave viewers a high-level picture of their three-phase implementation approach. The eBook that we produced for Ascent had a very targeted goal: get customers to sign up for the MITRE ATT&CK MasterClass. Through a fictional narrative that focuses on an IT Director desperate for a better solution to his security needs, we explain what information will be found at the MITRE ATT&CK MasterClass and why security personnel should attend. Finally, the infographic was aimed at another specific event that deserved an asset all for itself. Ascent opened a state-of-the-art cybersecurity center for excellence in Coppell, Texas. There is a tremendous shortage of cybersecurity professionals in the United States and Ascent is seeking to help chisel away at the skills gap. In an easily-digestible infographic we highlight the curriculum of Ascent’s program and the key statistics around the cybersecurity industry.
Sales Battlecard and Emails
Ascent wanted to begin its sales cycle by educating potential customers through the MITRE ATT&CK MasterClass. To give their sales team the best information to get customers to enroll, we crafted a sales battlecard that will keep the messaging consistent and compelling. Then for prospects who had downloaded the eBook, we wrote two follow-up emails that sought to address any lingering questions they may have had and to usher them into a stage of consideration.
Social Media Package
The final piece of the content jigsaw puzzle was a series of social posts that would drive traffic and attention to the eBook, press releases, case studies and more. We also provided a social media guidebook to help direct their efforts in the future as well as an audit of their existing social media strategy.
