Houston, We Have Lift Off

A thorough product launch in conjunction with integrated marketing campaigns, and a successful sales channel, should: raise awareness, generate demand, increase your reach and set the stage for continued momentum.

Keep your eyes open for press coverage; it will usually begin to appear after your launch.  It is a good idea to follow up with all of your press and analyst contacts.  Consider ordering reprints of printed content for later use.  You should also obtain permission from online publishers to use the article(s) on your website and in your future sales efforts.

Consider how you will maintain relationships with new clients after they purchase your product.  Use information gathered during the sales process to reach out when new or relevant information, upgrades or products become available.  This could mean updating new clients on extended warranty information, service packs, or new version updates you might offer.

As time goes on, engage your new clients every few months regarding their satisfaction or ask them to participate in either a product or customer service survey.  This will insure that the line of communication with customers stays intact, providing you with repeat business and information about your clients for future product launches.
